A few frequently asked questions about the TFNSW Concrete Grey Card

Minimum competency for concrete placement is required in TfNSW Specifications TS 01730 (B80), TS 03270 (R82) and TS 03271 (R83). The issuance of a digital TfNSW Concrete Grey Card must be requested by a TfNSW Training Partner. For more details, please visit TfNSW Concrete Grey Card (CGC) web page. Please contact us directly with your ID documents. Once we have received and verified your request against the master list, we will send you a form to complete along with a link to make the payment of $32.00 + GST.
Once processed, you should receive your digital concrete grey card within five (5) days
If you have physical issued CGC and wish to upgrade to a digital card, please contact us directly. Once we have received your request, we will send you a form to complete along with a link to make the payment of $32.00 + GST. Once processed, you should receive your digital concrete grey card within five (5) days.
Following the completion of the relevant CGC training stream and after your Training Partner has entered the details of successful trainees, an email will be sent to each successful trainee with a link to download the digital grey card to an Apple or Google Wallet. Simply access the link from your original email on your new device to load your card to your new wallet.
Please advise the relevant Training Partner of this requirement, so that the entry of details can be expedited and the digital CGC card processed as soon as possible.
If your digital CGC card is not received within five business days of the registration confirmation email receipt, please contact us so we can investigate further.
If the details have been updated after completing the course and the digital CGC card is not received within five business days of the registration confirmation email, please contact us.
Following the completion of a CGC training, the Training Partner will request the digital card through the TfNSW-MTA Concrete Grey Card website. Once it is confirmed that the Registered Presenter has requested the digital CGC card and a confirmation email is not received, please contact us.
When required by the Concrete Placement Supervisor, display the digital card from the native wallet of the smart phone.
The two TfNSW CGC competency training streams are (a) Bridgeworks and (b) Rigid Pavements. The cards are issued separately for each specific training stream.
For existing physical Concrete Grey Cards issued before the launch date, the concrete grey card must be renewed within five (5) years from the launch date.
For physical Concrete Grey Cards issued prior to the launch date, the CGC holder can opt for migration to a digital card subject to the Administration Fee of $32.00 + GST. The new digital card will have a validity period of five (5) years from launch date of the CGC digitalisation program, to be shown on the card.
